Cuolma Support
Cuolma shows a mountain tour on the terrain it actually crosses. It opens a GPX file, drapes the line over swisstopo elevation and aerial imagery, and measures what the day will ask of you: distance, ascent, how steep the ground under the line is, and where the sun stands at a given hour. Getting started without a file of your own
The start screen has View sample tour. It opens a line that ships with the app, over real terrain. The file deliberately carries no elevations: the heights come from the swisstopo terrain underneath, so nothing about it is invented. It is an example, not a route recommendation.
Opening your own tour
Open tour takes a GPX file from Files, iCloud Drive or anywhere your device can reach. Cuolma loads the terrain around it by itself. You can also open a bare region: enter Swiss grid coordinates or degrees, or pick the area on a map.
Moving around
One finger pushes the ground, two fingers tilt, two fingers twist to turn, pinch to zoom. On a Mac: drag to turn, shift-drag to push, wheel to zoom. The bar on the right switches between four ways of looking: overview, along the route from above, free flight, and standing at a spot you choose. Standing is the one worth trying. Tap Stand, then tap the ground, and you see the col you are unsure about the way you will see it on the day.
Taking it offline
Under Offline you can download the region you are looking at. After that Cuolma needs no network. Do this at home: on a mountain, every tile costs battery and reception you may not have. The same section deletes what you no longer need.
Battery
Drawing terrain and loading maps are two of the most expensive things a device can do. Cuolma says so on first launch and warns again as the battery falls. Switching on Low Power Mode makes it draw more coarsely and half as often, which helps measurably.
Switzerland and Liechtenstein
The maps come from swisstopo and cover Switzerland. Outside it, Cuolma has no data and says so rather than showing an empty landscape. In exchange the data is fine grained: terrain down to half a metre, aerial imagery down to ten centimetres, twenty-five in the high Alps.
What Cuolma is not
It is not an avalanche assessment. It measures the ground the line crosses, not the slope above you, and that is the one that comes down. It does not know what the snowpack is doing or what the bulletin says, and it does not replace the national map in your pack.
Support and liability
Cuolma is free, and so is support. I read every mail and answer as well as I can, but I cannot promise a deadline and there is no entitlement to an answer or to a fix.
The app measures terrain and works out times. What you do with that in the mountains is your decision. It is not a safety device: no avalanche assessment, no weather, no rescue, and the times carry no reserve. Do not rely on a device whose battery can run out.

Cuolma Hilfe
Cuolma zeigt eine Bergtour auf dem Gelände, über das sie wirklich führt. Anfangen ohne eigene Datei
Auf der Startseite steht Beispieltour ansehen. Das öffnet eine Linie, die mit der App mitkommt, über echtem Gelände. Die Datei trägt absichtlich keine Höhen: die kommen vom swisstopo-Gelände darunter, damit an ihr nichts erfunden ist. Sie ist ein Beispiel und kein Wegvorschlag.
Eine eigene Tour öffnen
Tour öffnen nimmt eine GPX-Datei aus Dateien, aus iCloud Drive oder von überall her, wo dein Gerät hinkommt. Das Gelände darum lädt Cuolma von selbst. Du kannst auch eine blosse Gegend öffnen: Landeskoordinaten oder Grad eintippen, oder die Gegend auf einer Karte wählen.
Sich bewegen
Ein Finger schiebt den Boden, zwei Finger neigen, zwei Finger drehen die Ansicht, Kneifen zoomt. Am Mac: ziehen dreht, Umschalt-ziehen schiebt, das Rad zoomt. Die Leiste rechts wechselt zwischen vier Arten zu schauen: Übersicht, als Vogel entlang der Route, freier Flug, und stehend an einer Stelle, die du wählst. Das Stehen ist das, was du ausprobieren solltest. Auf Stehen tippen, dann auf das Gelände, und du siehst den Sattel, über den du unsicher bist, so wie du ihn am Tag sehen wirst.
Offline mitnehmen
Unter Offline lädst du die Gegend herunter, die du gerade ansiehst. Danach braucht Cuolma kein Netz mehr. Mach das zu Hause: auf einem Berg kostet jede Kachel Akku und Empfang, den du vielleicht nicht hast. Im selben Abschnitt löschst du wieder, was du nicht mehr brauchst.
Akku
Gelände zeichnen und Karten laden sind zwei der teuersten Dinge, die ein Gerät tun kann. Cuolma sagt das beim ersten Start und warnt noch einmal, wenn der Akku fällt. Der Stromsparmodus lässt Cuolma gröber und halb so oft zeichnen, und das hilft messbar.
Schweiz und Liechtenstein
Die Karten kommen von swisstopo und decken die Schweiz und das Fürstentum Liechtenstein ab. Ausserhalb hat Cuolma keine Daten und sagt das, statt eine leere Landschaft zu zeigen. Dafür sind sie fein: Gelände bis auf einen halben Meter, Luftbild bis auf zehn Zentimeter, fünfundzwanzig im Hochgebirge.
Was Cuolma nicht ist
Keine Lawinenbeurteilung. Die App misst den Boden, über den die Linie führt, und nicht den Hang über dir. Der ist es, der abgeht. Sie weiss auch nicht, was die Schneedecke tut oder was im Bulletin steht, und sie ersetzt die Landeskarte im Rucksack nicht.
Support und Haftung
Was für Support und Haftung gilt, steht weiter oben auf Englisch, und zwar nur dort. Rechtstexte führt bimover in einer einzigen Fassung: zwei Fassungen lassen sich verschieden lesen, und ein Haftungssatz ist der falsche Ort dafür.

Aide Cuolma
Cuolma montre une course en montagne sur le terrain qu'elle traverse vraiment. L'application ouvre un fichier GPX, pose le tracé sur le terrain et l'image aérienne de swisstopo et mesure ce que la journée demande : la distance, le dénivelé, la raideur du sol sous le tracé, et la position du soleil à une heure donnée. Commencer sans fichier à soi
L'écran de départ propose Voir la course d'exemple. Cela ouvre un tracé livré avec l'application, sur du terrain réel. Le fichier ne porte volontairement aucune altitude : elles viennent du terrain swisstopo en dessous, pour que rien n'y soit inventé. C'est un exemple, pas une proposition d'itinéraire.
Ouvrir sa propre course
Ouvrir une course prend un fichier GPX depuis Fichiers, iCloud Drive ou partout où ton appareil peut aller. Cuolma charge le terrain autour par lui-même. Tu peux aussi ouvrir une simple région : saisir des coordonnées suisses ou des degrés, ou choisir la région sur une carte.
Se déplacer
Un doigt pousse le sol, deux doigts inclinent, deux doigts tournent la vue, le pincement zoome. Sur Mac : glisser tourne, majuscule-glisser pousse, la molette zoome. La barre de droite passe entre quatre façons de regarder : vue d'ensemble, en oiseau le long de l'itinéraire, vol libre, et debout à un endroit que tu choisis. C'est le mode debout qui vaut l'essai. Touche Debout, puis touche le terrain, et tu vois le col dont tu doutes tel que tu le verras ce jour-là.
Emporter hors ligne
Sous Hors ligne, tu télécharges la région que tu regardes. Ensuite Cuolma n'a plus besoin de réseau. Fais-le à la maison : en montagne, chaque tuile coûte de la batterie et une réception que tu n'as peut-être pas. Le même endroit sert à effacer ce dont tu n'as plus besoin.
Batterie
Dessiner du terrain et charger des cartes sont deux des choses les plus coûteuses qu'un appareil puisse faire. Cuolma le dit au premier lancement et prévient encore quand la batterie descend. Le mode économie d'énergie fait dessiner Cuolma plus grossièrement et deux fois moins souvent, ce qui aide de façon mesurable.
Suisse et Liechtenstein
Les cartes viennent de swisstopo et couvrent la Suisse et la Principauté du Liechtenstein. En dehors, Cuolma n'a pas de données et le dit, au lieu de montrer un paysage vide. En échange elles sont fines : le terrain jusqu'à un demi-mètre, l'image aérienne jusqu'à dix centimètres, vingt-cinq en haute montagne.
Ce que Cuolma n'est pas
Pas une évaluation du risque d'avalanche. L'application mesure le sol que le tracé traverse, et non la pente au-dessus de toi, et c'est celle-là qui part. Elle ne sait pas non plus ce que fait le manteau neigeux ni ce que dit le bulletin, et elle ne remplace pas la carte nationale dans ton sac.
Assistance et responsabilité
Ce qui vaut pour l'assistance et la responsabilité se trouve plus haut, en anglais, et là seulement. bimover tient ses textes juridiques en une seule version : deux versions peuvent se lire différemment, et une clause de responsabilité est le mauvais endroit pour cela.

Cuolma mostra una gita in montagna sul terreno che attraversa davvero. L'app apre un file GPX, posa la traccia sul terreno e sull'immagine aerea di swisstopo e misura quello che la giornata richiede: la distanza, il dislivello, quanto è ripido il suolo sotto la traccia e dove sta il sole a una data ora. Cominciare senza un file proprio
Nella schermata iniziale c'è Vedi la gita di esempio. Apre una traccia che arriva con l'app, su terreno reale. Il file non porta quote di proposito: vengono dal terreno swisstopo sotto, così che non ci sia nulla di inventato. È un esempio, non una proposta di itinerario.
Aprire una gita propria
Apri una gita prende un file GPX da File, da iCloud Drive o da dovunque il tuo dispositivo arrivi. Il terreno intorno lo carica Cuolma da sé. Puoi anche aprire una semplice zona: digitare coordinate svizzere o gradi, oppure scegliere la zona su una carta.
Muoversi
Un dito spinge il suolo, due dita inclinano, due dita ruotano la vista, il pizzico zooma. Su Mac: trascinare ruota, maiuscolo-trascinare spinge, la rotellina zooma. La barra a destra passa fra quattro modi di guardare: veduta d'insieme, come un uccello lungo l'itinerario, volo libero, e in piedi in un punto che scegli tu. Il modo in piedi è quello da provare. Tocca In piedi, poi tocca il terreno, e vedi il colle su cui hai dei dubbi come lo vedrai quel giorno.
Portare fuori rete
Sotto Fuori rete scarichi la zona che stai guardando. Dopo di che Cuolma non ha più bisogno di rete. Fallo a casa: in montagna ogni tassello costa batteria e una ricezione che forse non hai. Nello stesso punto cancelli quello che non ti serve più.
Batteria
Disegnare terreno e caricare carte sono due delle cose più costose che un dispositivo possa fare. Cuolma lo dice al primo avvio e avvisa di nuovo quando la batteria cala. Il risparmio energetico fa disegnare Cuolma più grossolanamente e la metà delle volte, e questo aiuta in modo misurabile.
Svizzera e Liechtenstein
Le carte vengono da swisstopo e coprono la Svizzera e il Principato del Liechtenstein. Fuori Cuolma non ha dati e lo dice, invece di mostrare un paesaggio vuoto. In cambio sono fini: il terreno fino a mezzo metro, l'immagine aerea fino a dieci centimetri, venticinque in alta montagna.
Cosa Cuolma non è
Non è una valutazione del pericolo di valanghe. L'app misura il suolo che la traccia attraversa, non il pendio sopra di te, ed è quello che viene giù. Non sa nemmeno cosa fa il manto nevoso né cosa dice il bollettino, e non sostituisce la carta nazionale nello zaino.
Assistenza e responsabilità
Quello che vale per assistenza e responsabilità sta più in alto, in inglese, e solo lì. bimover tiene i suoi testi giuridici in una sola versione: due versioni si possono leggere in modo diverso, e una clausola di responsabilità è il posto sbagliato per farlo.
