Orthera
Almost a right angle is usually a slip.
What it does
The colour tells you how square an angle is.
For every element in the active window, Orthera measures how far it deviates from a right angle and colours it accordingly. What is only just off is suspicious: an angle of 89.8° is rarely intended, but you cannot see it by eye.
When a model comes from outside, Orthera shows at a glance where it is not drawn cleanly. The statistics count the elements per colour, in the view and across the whole project. On request, Orthera brings red, orange and yellow elements back to a right angle, and what is meant to be skewed you mark as an exception: it applies to everyone on the project.
In drawing mode, a new element gets its colour as soon as it is drawn. That way the team notices a skewed angle while drawing, not at submission. For moving and copying, Orthera moves the selection exactly along X, Y or Z, in the rotated floor plan or along the world axes.
- Deviations you cannot see by eye become visible
- A model from elsewhere is checked before anyone builds on it
- A skewed angle shows up while drawing, not at submission
- The model stays on your computer
What it gives you
- Offices that take over models from other offices or consultants
- BIM managers who check a model before submission
- Teams that want to draw more precisely
Who it is for
Colours
Five colours, one question
Orthera measures how far an element deviates from a right angle and colours it in the active window. The limits below are the defaults: you set the deviation at which an element turns grey, and red and orange follow from it. On top of that comes a tolerance in millimetres.
- Green Exactly at a right angle.
- Red Up to 0.5° off. The smallest deviation is the most suspicious: by eye it looks square.
- Orange Up to 1° off.
- Yellow Up to 2° off.
- Grey More than 2°: meant to be skewed. Anything you mark as an exception turns grey too.

What Orthera checks
Lines, polylines, walls, beams, columns, slabs, roofs, stairs, railings, curtain walls, zones, fills, morphs, dimensions, section and elevation lines, objects, texts and more. Orthera respects rotated floor plans and, in Teamwork, reserves elements before changing them.

Price
Licences for the office
The office buys, here on the website. Whoever runs the office buys the licences under “Our Office” and assigns them to people. There is nothing to buy in the add-on itself.
A licence belongs to one person
Whoever runs the office assigns each licence to one person. It can go to someone else 30 days after the last assignment at the earliest. If someone leaves the office, the licence is free again at once.
One licence year from the purchase
The licence year starts with the purchase. Licences added during the year end with it and cost only the share for the remaining days.
