Locus Privacy
This page describes what Locus, the georeferencing add-on for Archicad, does with data. For bimover’s website, account, sign-in and payment, see the general Privacy Policy. Where the two could be read differently, this page wins for Locus.
Locus is an add-on that runs inside Archicad on the customer’s own machine. The building model, the imported terrain and everything drawn from it stay in the customer’s CAD file. bimover never receives the model.

2. Signing in
Locus uses the bimover account. Signing in works exactly as it does on the website, and what we store for it is described in the general Privacy Policy. There is no separate Locus account.
3. What Locus sends us, and when
When a licence is bought. A licence belongs to one building project, so the licence record carries what identifies that project and the person paying for it: the licence holder (private individual, company or public body), their name and address, the project name and project address, the file name of the CAD file the licence was activated in, the tier and the price, the account that bought it, and the date the update licence runs until.
When the terrain data is placed for the first time. Locus stores the coordinates of that first placement and the country. That is not a trace of where you are: it is the position of the building project itself, and it is stored because the update licence permits changes to the georeferencing only within 500 metres of it. Without that one pair of coordinates the radius cannot be checked at all.
When a licence is used. The add-on asks our server whether the licence is still valid and reports the position it is being used at, so the 500-metre rule can be applied. We log that a licence was used, and when. We do not receive the model, the drawings, the layers, the imported terrain or any other content of the project.
No usage statistics. Locus has no analytics and no telemetry. It counts nothing about which tools you use.
4. Where the geodata comes from
swisstopo (Switzerland) and IGN (France). Terrain, orthophotos, buildings and cadastral data are fetched directly from those national providers. The request goes from your machine to them and carries what any web request carries, including your IP address, the time, and the map area you asked for — which is the location of your project. Those providers are the recipients. bimover does not sit in between, receives nothing from those requests and keeps no copy of them. Their terms of use apply in addition to ours and are shown during import; see swisstopo and IGN.
5. Payment
Licences are paid through our payment provider Payrexx (Payrexx AG, Switzerland), student licences by TWINT. Card and TWINT details are entered at the provider and never reach bimover. We receive the transaction reference, the amount and whether the payment succeeded. See the general Privacy Policy for the payment section.
6. The receipt page
A Locus licence is meant to be rebilled to the building owner as a specialist
consultant position, so the add-on can open a printable receipt at
/products/locus/beleg?key=LK-…. It shows the licence holder, their address,
the project, the amount and the licence key.
That page is reachable by anyone who has the key. There is no sign-in in front of it, on purpose: the receipt has to be printable and forwardable to the building owner’s accounting department without an account. The key is a random twelve-character code and cannot sensibly be guessed, and the page is excluded from search engines. Still: whoever holds the key can see the receipt. Treat it like an invoice number, not like a password.
7. Support
Support requests are submitted by ticket from inside the add-on. What you write in a ticket reaches us and is processed to answer it. Please don’t put client data or confidential project information into a ticket.
8. How long we keep it
Licence records are kept for as long as the licence exists plus the retention periods Swiss bookkeeping law imposes on us (ten years for accounting records). The first-placement coordinates are part of the licence record and share its life. The log entries about a licence being used are audit logs and follow the general retention window for those, currently six months; see Section 11 of the general Privacy Policy.
9. Your rights
The rights section of the general Privacy Policy applies here too: information, correction, deletion, objection, and a complaint to the competent supervisory authority. Write to privacy@bimover.ch.
One limit belongs here honestly: a licence record and its receipt are accounting documents. As long as bookkeeping law requires us to keep them, we cannot delete them — we can only restrict their use.
