Cuolma Privacy

This page describes what the Cuolma app (iPhone, iPad, Mac) does with data. Cuolma is free, has no account and no sign-in. For bimover’s website and account services, see the general Privacy Policy.

2. What Cuolma collects: nothing

Cuolma has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no account. It does not send anything to bimover. There is no server on our side that Cuolma talks to.

3. Where Cuolma does go

swisstopo. Terrain and aerial imagery come from the Swiss Federal Office of Topography at data.geo.admin.ch. Cuolma requests the map tiles for the area you are looking at. Those requests are ordinary HTTPS requests and carry what any web request carries, including your IP address and the time. swisstopo is the recipient. bimover receives nothing and keeps no copy. Apple Maps. When you pick a region on the map, that map comes from Apple’s MapKit. Apple receives those map requests under its own privacy policy.

Apple iCloud. If you switch on syncing for your tours, the files go into your own iCloud Drive. That is your Apple account. bimover has no access to it.

4. Location

Cuolma asks for your location only when you use it, and only if you allow it. It is used on the device for two things: to place a marker where you are standing, and to load the region around you. The position stays on the device. It is not stored in a file, not sent to bimover and not sent to anyone else.

If you decline, everything else keeps working. You choose the region by coordinates or on the map instead.

5. Your tours

The GPX files you open stay on your device, in Cuolma’s own folder or wherever you keep them. Map data you take offline is stored on the device as well and can be deleted in the app under Offline.

6. Children

Cuolma is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.

7. Your rights

Since Cuolma holds no personal data on our side, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete. For anything concerning bimover’s other services, write to privacy@bimover.ch.
